Il complesso nuragico di Malchittu
Poco fuori dal centro di Arzachena si trova la Tomba dei Giganti Coddu Vecchiu e il vicino Nuraghe Albucciu, tra le testimonianze meglio conservate della civiltà nuragica in Gallura. È un'ottima tappa per la mattina, prima del caldo, e richiede circa un'ora di visita con parcheggio comodo.
Il centro storico di Arzachena
A circa 15 minuti dall'hotel, il centro di Arzachena offre botteghe artigiane, ristoranti tipici e una passeggiata piacevole nelle ore serali, quando le temperature scendono. È il punto di partenza per chi vuole rifornirsi di prodotti locali — mirto, formaggi, pane carasau — prima di rientrare in hotel.
Porto Cervo e la Costa Smeralda mondana
Circa 20 minuti di auto separano l'hotel da Porto Cervo, cuore mondano della Costa Smeralda: la piazzetta, il porto con gli yacht e le boutique di lusso. Consigliamo una visita nel tardo pomeriggio, quando la luce sul golfo è più bella e le temperature più gradevoli.
Trekking ed entroterra granitico
Per chi ama camminare, i sentieri intorno a Cannigione e verso Monte Moro offrono punti panoramici sull'intero Golfo di Arzachena e sull'Arcipelago di La Maddalena, con percorsi adatti anche a chi non è un escursionista esperto.
Un itinerario di una giornata
Mattina ai siti nuragici, pranzo leggero in hotel o in centro ad Arzachena, pomeriggio al mare o in piscina, e passeggiata serale a Porto Cervo o nel centro storico: è l'itinerario che più spesso consigliamo a chi soggiorna con noi per la prima volta.
The Malchittu nuragic complex
Just outside Arzachena's town centre lies the Coddu Vecchiu Giants' Tomb and the nearby Albucciu Nuraghe, among the best-preserved traces of the nuragic civilisation in Gallura. It's a great morning stop before the heat sets in, taking about an hour with easy parking.
Arzachena's old town
About 15 minutes from the hotel, Arzachena's town centre offers artisan shops, local restaurants and a pleasant evening stroll once temperatures drop. It's a good starting point for local products — myrtle liqueur, cheeses, carasau bread — before heading back to the hotel.
Porto Cervo and glamorous Costa Smeralda
About 20 minutes by car from the hotel is Porto Cervo, the glamorous heart of Costa Smeralda: the piazzetta, the marina full of yachts, and luxury boutiques. We recommend a late-afternoon visit, when the light over the gulf is at its best and temperatures more comfortable.
Hiking the granite hinterland
For those who enjoy walking, the trails around Cannigione and towards Monte Moro offer panoramic views over the whole Gulf of Arzachena and the La Maddalena Archipelago, with routes suitable even for less experienced hikers.
